Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I provide secure telehealth therapy for clients located throughout Nevada. Online therapy allows you to participate in sessions from a private, comfortable location that works for you.
What concerns can we work on in therapy?
I work with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, family issues, women's health, and major life transitions. If you're unsure whether therapy would be a good fit for what you're experiencing, you're welcome to reach out and ask.
Do you offer individual therapy?
Yes. Individual therapy provides a private, supportive space to better understand what you're experiencing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical strategies for moving forward.
Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes. Couples therapy can provide a supportive space to improve communication, work through conflict, rebuild connection, and better understand one another.
Do you offer family therapy?
Yes. Family therapy can help family members improve communication, navigate difficult transitions, work through conflict, and strengthen relationships.
Do you accept insurance?
I work with several insurance plans through Headway. Accepted plans may include Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Independence Blue Cross PA Virtual National Network, and Providence.
Insurance participation and benefits can change, so I recommend confirming your specific plan and benefits before beginning treatment.
What if you don't accept my insurance?
If your insurance isn't listed, you're still welcome to reach out. Self-pay options may be available, and I'm happy to discuss your options and help you determine the best next step.
How much does therapy cost?
Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance plan, benefits, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and whether you are using self-pay. Contact me to discuss your options and determine what may apply to you.
What happens during the first therapy session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your concerns, goals, relevant background information, and what you'd like to be different.
You don't need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. We'll take it one step at a time.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
Finding the right therapist matters. Therapy should feel like a space where you can be honest, heard, and supported without judgment.
If you're unsure, reaching out is a great first step. We can talk about what you're looking for and determine whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.
How quickly will you respond after I contact you?
I typically respond to inquiries within two business days.
I'm nervous about starting therapy. Is that normal?
Absolutely. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you've never worked with a therapist before.
You don't have to know exactly what to say or have a perfectly defined reason for being here. We can start with where you are and work from there.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Complete the contact form or reach out directly, and I'll respond to your inquiry. From there, we'll discuss what you're looking for, answer your questions, and determine the next step.
You don't have to figure everything out before reaching out.
