About Me

I am Amanda Yurko, a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Nevada, dedicated to improving lives through compassionate care.

I am a compassionate, creative, and detail-oriented therapist. I attended Misericordia University for my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and then Marywood University where I completed my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. My primary focus is individual, couples, and family therapy.

My Journey

With over a decade of experience, I am proud to specialize in dynamic telehealth therapy. I am deeply dedicated to fostering a safe, uplifting, and collaborative environment where you can feel more confident setting boundaries, managing stress, and making decisions.. Through empathy, understanding, and the thoughtful use of evidence-based tools, I am here to partner with you on your journey and guide you toward lasting growth.

Why Choose Me?

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation where you feel heard, understood, and are actively involved in the process. After all, you are the expert on you, and I am simply the passenger you've chosen to help guide you on your journey.

My Approach

No two people are built the same, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all road-map. Your experiences, relationships, values, goals, and circumstances are unique to you.

We'll explore what's bringing you to therapy and determine which approaches and strategies work for you.

I incorporate evidence-based practices and build a custom toolkit that you can actually take with you when you walk out the door.

Depending on your goals, therapy may involve exploring patterns, building coping skills, improving communication, working through difficult emotions, developing healthier boundaries, or simply creating space to understand yourself more deeply.

What Therapy Feels Like With Me

Collaborative, not one-size-fits-all
You are the expert on your own life. We'll work together to determine what approaches make sense for you.

Practical support, not just talking
We'll work toward meaningful tools and strategies you can use between sessions into your everyday life.

Judgment-free
You can show up exactly as you are not needing to edit yourself or pretending everything is okay.

Compassion
Difficult experiences deserve understanding, not judgement

Individualized Care
Your treatment should fit you-not the other way around.

How I Recharge

Outside of therapy, I'm a wife, mom, and someone who believes that the little things in life matter.

I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, being near the beach, listening to rock music, and cheering on my favorite sports teams; the Philadelphia Phillies and the Vegas Golden Knights.

Balancing family life with my practice keeps me grounded, energized, and deeply connected to the importance of work-life balance.

I share this because therapy is ultimately about connection. I want you to feel comfortable to be yourself while still receiving professional, compassionate, evidence-based care.
